In Massachusetts, experts are expressing growing concerns about the issue of online harassment, particularly in light of the revolution brought about by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

According to experts in Massachusetts, the problem of online harassment has become more serious following the advent of AI technology. The ease with which inappropriate fake videos and images can be created and disseminated has increased, compared to the early days of the internet when such activities were confined to dark corners.

Tech experts reveal that over 90% of explicit content in online deepfake videos primarily targets women. Roman Chaudhary, an expert in Artificial Intelligence at Harvard University, emphasizes the need for precautionary measures to address this crisis.

Despite efforts by platforms such as Google, YouTube, and Meta to update their policies and instruct their content creators and influencers to label all AI-generated content, the greater responsibility falls on women. They need to be cautious and take immediate action if they come across any inappropriate content.

Recent executive orders from the American government and the approval of the AI Act by the European Union underscore the urgency of addressing the dangers posed by manipulated images and videos. Last month, 18 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, signed a comprehensive agreement aimed at safeguarding the public from the misuse of AI, including the proliferation of fake images and videos.
