Massachusetts: The issue of online harassment of women has taken a more serious turn with the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
In Massachusetts, the problem of harassing women online has intensified, especially with the sophisticated use of AI. Creating inappropriate images and videos of women and spreading them has become even more accessible.
According to tech experts, over 90% of explicit content in online deep fake videos is focused on obscenity, with a significant portion targeting women. Roman Chaudhry, an expert in Artificial Intelligence at Harvard University, pointed out that although platforms like Google, YouTube, and Meta have updated their policies and directed content creators to label AI-generated material, the primary responsibility lies with women.
Recent executive orders in the United States and the approval of the AI Act in the European Union reflect efforts to enhance transparency in AI technology. Last month, 18 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, signed an agreement to protect the public from the misuse of AI, including preventing the circulation of fake images and videos.
