The United States has declared its willingness to engage in regional security and defense cooperation with Pakistan, emphasizing its commitment to supporting free and fair elections in the country.

During a press briefing, U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that the United States does not take a specific position on Pakistani political parties. Instead, it collaborates with all Pakistani political leaders participating in the elections chosen by the people.

According to the U.S. State Department spokesperson, Pakistan is a significant NATO ally and partner, and the United States desires increased collaboration between the two nations in regional security and defense cooperation. He mentioned that the United States will continue to support free and fair elections in Pakistan, and ongoing discussions are taking place between the two countries on this matter.

In addition, Matthew Miller highlighted that Pakistani military officials, including the Chief of Army Staff and the Foreign Minister, have held meetings with American counterparts in Washington, indicating a diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
